Jonny Evans could play against Bolton this weekend, after making a quick recovery from his hamstring injury.

It had been feared that the on-loan Manchester United defender wouldn't play again this season after injuring himself in training just days before the Newcastle derby.

However, Roy Keane briefly confirmed that the 20 year old is fit, and could return to replace one of the scorers from last weekend's 3-2 win over Middlesbrough - Danny Higginbotham.

Keane said: "Jonny should be fit which is good news."
