Sunderland have announced that season ticket prices will rise next season - but only if you haven't renewed already.

The club froze season ticket prices for next season, but only if you had renewed by April 4; and now that Sunderland have preserved their top flight status for next season, the club has announced that season tickets will go back on sale starting this Monday morning, April 28.

Prices have gone up between £10 and £30 in the main section of the stadium (from the "renewal" prices), while supporters in the Black Cats Bar will be paying £65 extra next season if they haven't already renewed.

Supporters who commit to a season ticket before June 6 can take advantage of a Direct Debit scheme that will allow them to split payment into two lump sums to be paid on July 1 and October 1 2008. Season tickets will remain on sale after June 6, but the interest-free Direct Debit payment option will not.

Niall Quinn, Sunderland chairman, said: "The fans have really bought into the idea that this Club could be roaring again and that gives me tremendous strength to build on what we achieved this season. I'd say to anyone who hasn't bought a season ticket yet - believe in what we're trying to do here and get on board."
