Martyn Waghorn has had to withdraw from the England Under 18s after picking up an injury.

Waghorn injured his ankle in training on Monday, and was forced to pull out of the squad to play Austria in Hartlepool on Wednesday night - but now the striker is doubtful for the Lads' Academy play-off game against Manchester City this weekend.

The 18 year old was called up to the England squad over the weekend after originally having been named as a stand-by player, following his 21 goals for Sunderland's Under 18s this season.
