Sunderland's attempts to keep Jonny Evans may be thwarted for a second time, as Manchester United look intent on keeping the defender.
Evans, in his second loan spell with Sunderland, is very high up every supporter's summer shopping lists, but United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has hinted that he wants Evans back at Old Trafford next season. Speaking about Evans and Fraizer Campbell - who is out on loan at Hull City - Ferguson said: "They're gaining valuable experience as well as doing a good job for their clubs but they're coming back. They will get the chance to prove they have a future here." Of course, Evans stayed at United this season when he was "promised" a run in the first team at Old Trafford. That materialised in the form of one Carling Cup game, plus a start and a substitute's appearance in the Champions' League - with his first Premier League game coming after he rejoined us on loan in January. Don't do it Jonny! Stay with Sunderland!
