Carlos Edwards has joined Wolves on a three month loan.
Edwards has only made two appearances for the Lads this season, after being squeezed out of the first team by Steed Malbranque and El Hadji Diouf following their summer arrivals. Edwards told the Wolves website: "I'd heard there were a few clubs enquiring about me but Wolves were the one that really appealed," said Carlos. That wasn't just because they are top of the table but also because Mick McCarthy is such a good manager that a lot of players would want to play for. "Wolves are an ambitious club and this might be a chance for me to get my career back on track. I've probably got a lot to prove not only this season but because of last season. I had a rollercoaster season in my first Premier League season with a fractured leg and a hamstring injury. "That's all behind me now and I'm looking forward to a new challenge. I'm now here with a new opportunity and am hoping to grab it with both hands." The Trinidad and Tobago winger joined Sunderland from Luton in January 2007, and played a major role in our promotion to the Premier League, only to see his first season in the top flight ruined by a shoulder injury and a broken leg.
