Russell Anderson's loan at Plymouth has been extended until the end of the season.

Anderson has played seven times for the Pilgrims in a month's loan at Home Park - a deal that was due to expire tomorrow.

However, manager Paul Sturrock has managed to reach a deal with Sunderland that will see Anderson remain with the Championship side for the remainder of the season, although we have retained the right to recall the former Aberdeen defender at 24 hours' notice.
